Consider Wearing Organic Clothing

Unfortunately there is only one planet that we have, planet earth. As a result, every care must be taken to ensure that it is well protected. Well that is not the case. If I must put it clearly, it has never been for several people. All they ever care about is how they will enjoy whatever they have here and now and not give a hoot about the environment. They care less about what happens to the environment especially from their actions.

The good news however is that there are other people that really care about how the planet is faring. They ensure that their actions are not directly or indirectly affecting the planet in a negative way. They strive for ways to ensure that alternatives are found for most of the things that negatively affect the planet. One of such alternatives is the way the clothes that we wear are made.

Improved ways of making clothes means that destruction to the environment is minimized. Organic clothing is those types of clothing that are made from organic materials. The materials are grown in compliance with organic agricultural standards to ensure that they are eco-friendly. The making of the organic clothing does not require the manufacture of any chemicals and as such does not pose any danger to the environment.

There is the need to have an alternative to how clothes are made. The most popular material that is currently used to make clothes is the cotton. Covering some 2.5 percent of the world’s cultivated lands, the cotton is responsible for the use of 16 percent of the world’s insecticides. The insecticides are used to keep the many pests that affect the plant away and as if that is not enough, close to a third of the world’s fertilizers are used on cotton plantations. All these chemicals have their toll on the environment and as such need to be substituted as much as possible.

Well if you were looking for the need, that is the need. Please be responsible and make sure you are a part of the revolution to save the planet. Your contribution is needed and if most of the clothes you wear are organic based, then that will mean a better tomorrow for all of us. Your involvement is most crucial to ensure that the destruction does not continue. If most of the clothes in the world currently are made from organic materials, that will mean a drastic drop in the use of pesticides and chemicals that in turn makes the world a very filthy place for all of us.
